[CLOSED] Brake release

Hi guys

I'm having a problem with the 2000 NXS's.  Both of mine often have problems when stopping a track with vinyl mode and a slow brake release set.  It just stops dead instead of slowing down. Makes the DJs look like idiots,

Any ideas?

Thanks

Matt

@Matt > Have you updated your CDJs firmware etc? Do you also have the Vinyl Speed Adjust on both settings to approximately the 12 o'clock position? I've never been able to reproduce this on any CDJ I've ever played on...

Oh gavin it's easy! It happens exact the time you don't expect it (or wonnt it to happen)...!

it's easy to reproduce, i have this issue too and got use to just hold the side of the platter to prevent the vibration from stopping the slow down, If you continuously tap the deck to resemble sub vibration and hit brake, the deck will just stop

hi guys

No firmware update recently because I've seen too many reports of problems with 1.11 on the forums and 1.10 isn't available to download.

It happens with the dial at various positions and totally randomly.

It also does it without the main sound system on, just a monitor speaker on quietly for testing - so it's not vibrations

In terms of setup, are the players situated above bass bins / in an area prone to vibration?

No the subs are 10m away.  The DJ booth is also behind the main speakers.

There is a bit a vibration indeed when the subs are on - but as I said above this also happens when the main speakers are all off (inc subs) and only a small monitor is on (softly, just for testing)
