Took my new nexus 2000 players and 900 mixer system out last night for the first time linking to rekordbox/mac using the link out LAN cables to a wireless router.
All seemed fine until i started playing after the first dance when one of the players lost it's connection to rekordbox. No matter what I did I could not reconnect it so had to start using the my hard drive via USB, so I was using one deck via rekordbox and one via USB for about half an hour which was stressing me out a bit tbh. Then the deck that was previously connected to rekordbox decided to also disconnect so i quickly hooked up my back AERO mixer and disconnected one side of the speakers so i could play the next track from the aero and then use that for the rest of the evening.
There were times that I could reconnect the players to rekordbox but it seemed to me that if one of the players was left in an "idle state" the connection just disappeared. Is there a setting on the player that disconnects it from rekordbox ?
The router i was using was
ON NETWORKS N300R-199UKS N300 Wireless Router from PC World £19.99
I noticed that the routers display was flashing quite rapidly, so was the problem the router. Does anyone here use a particular router ?
At the end of the day nobody noticed a problem whilst I switched to my back up mixer and it ended up being a great night but for about half an hour I was seriously under pressure. Why do these bloody things happen with this sort of technology ?
How do I hook up this set up using the supplied USB cable as I dont trust the wireless connection anymore.
