[SOLVED] Soundcard question: supportet output formats CDJ 2000 & CDJ200nxs on spdif (44,1/48khz 16/24bit)

Hy there,

I'm wondering what Output Format to choose (via asio/core) on cdjs. On my 2000 i can choose (via asio) 44,1/48 on 16 or 24bits. I want to use 48khz on 24bits but does this format also comes out the spdif/coaxial Output? the manual says the spdif can only go to 44,1khz on 16 oder 24bits.

What does the Nexus Support? in the Nexus Manual aren't any specs mentioned regarding this question.

thx in advance for your (proven) answers!

can nobody answer this?

i checked the Output Format on my 2ks, and it seems it is always 44,1khz regardless if i choose 48khz in Traktor/asio.

why is the soundcard declared as 48/24 Quality when it's only 44,1/24?

Is the 2000 Nexus soundcard able to supply real 48/24 Quality?

@Daniel > Was waiting on a response from the engineers - here it is:

Digital output of SPDI on both CDJ-2000 and CDJ-2000Nexus is 44.1KHz on 24bit/16bit.

The option of 24bit/16bit can be selected in the UTILTY settings.

Both 44.1KHz and 48KHz can be selected by ASIO driver, but SPDI is fixed to 44.1KHz.

Please refer to the [Specifications] in the [Quick Start Guide] included in the box of CDJ-2000Nexus.

Old thread, but I was just looking for an answer to the same question...  Why does CDJ PLAY 48kHz/24 bit, but then downsample to 44.1kHz for its digital out?

I'd guess that's the spec of the digital output on the CDJ, thus it has to downsample it regardless.
