@Filipe > Are they CDs you have burned yourself or commercially purchased CDs?
You should ensure your firmware is up to date: http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?c=1259&lang=en&p=CDJ-850-W&t=166
Hi,
I bought 2 cdj-850 players, most of the time i played with USB. But when i tryed to play with cd´s, the music start and play only about 4 seconds and stop.
I never updated the firmware, i dont know if this is software problem or hardware problem.
And it´s happen with all kinds of cd, but sometimes play some cds.

@Gavin > I´ve burned the cds...
@Filipe > Ok, then how have you burned them? What software did you use / what were the settings? Did you burn as CD-Audio?
What brand CDs did you use? Are they CD-Rs?
@Gavin > I always burn my cds with NERO, slow burn about 24x.
Yes, Burned as CD-Audio. The brand of my cds are sony, phillips and othes. Before i bought my cdj 850, i played with cdj 200, and used the same cds, never had any problem reading... very strange this error...
@Filipe > Does this problem occur with one CDJ only or with both CDJs?
@Gavin > both...
@Gavin > I updated the firmware but still having problems...
@Gavin > did you forget my problem????? I still having problems with cd´s in my cdj´s... I did what you say, updated the firmware without sucess...
Please help me!
@Filipe > Given that this problem is happening with both CDJs it seems like the problem is with the CDs you are burning. Do you have any commercially pressed (i.e. store bought CDs) at home that you can test with? Do they function as intended?
