[SOLVED] USB 3.0 Flash Drives, Should I use them ond CDJs?

Not at all. I recommend them for use, because you get a lot faster export times with rekordbox then usb2.0. The faster stick seems to be the sandisk extreme cruzer usb3.0 64gb.

But... If you want the fastest think you can get, with the fastest load and search of mp3's when using the cdj's, then i recommend ssd drives with a good usb3.0 2.5'' case.

All depends from the money you want to spend.

Well, I'm willing to spend big in order to have the best, as it's the only thing I will bring to a club, except the headphones which I already have.

I don't play using rekordbox, I use WAV tracks on the USB Stick.

I have read a thread here that is a little bit old about USB Sticks. This thread said that they should be 32Gb or less, because more than that wouldn't be safe for using on a CDJ, is it true? And the thread was showing the best USB Sticks of that time, which would be the best ones today? And which would be the best one for my situation?

Well if you use wav, that means you need as much space you can get. So in combination with speed, i think you should go for ssd drives. Best ssd drive imo at this time, should be the samsung 840 pro series, which i'm using. The 256gb version cost's around 200 euros. Then you need also a usb3.0 2.5'' case to get the ssd to work as an external device. If you need more space than 256gb, then you should go for a regular hdd. Why dont you use rekordbox? (just wondering)

Because the ssd drives are much faster, and also cheaper than 256gb stick's. The response time of an ssd is smaller also, that means faster load times. But it's your choice of course. I've made my choice after using and trying many usb stick's.

Nop, i don't know anything about that. Just use fat32 no matter what capacity.

Also I saw a thread about windows not being capable of formatting  storage devices on FAT32 with more than 32Gb. The thread was old, they were using windows XP. Is windows 7+ capable of formatting more than 32Gb? Like a 64Gb USB Stick for example. (They were sending links fot a software that does it, but I assume its better to do it on windows if it is capable)

No problem, just use a third part software like guiformat. And always format it twice at the default fat32 settings.

at this guiformat software, what is this "Allocation unit size" ? It was set to 4096 by default, should I change it?

Just use default settings as they are. Allocation unit size is the cluster size of your stick. Use the default value and continue to double format.
