I convert all the iTunes download to AAC 320 or AIFF, Main reason is to get them from VBR to CBR being a lot of iTunes tracks are VBR and freeze up the 2000's

Hello BriChi,
I'm trying to figure out how to set up iTunes to convert all my songs to AAC 320. But iTunes only gives me the option to AAC not AAC 320. Where is the option for 320?
Thanks in advance
choose AAC and then under it choose custom and set the properties you want, I do the following in the pic I attached, make sure you uncheck VBR, the 2000's freeze A LOT with VBR files, use CBR instead
Do I need to put a check anywhere to use CBR? Sorry for the ignorance :)
by unchecking VBR, the track will now automatically be converted as CBR
Great Thank you!
Sorry, one more question.
Can I convert MP3 tracks that I've purchased at other DJ websites (ie Crooklyn Clan, Beatport..) to AAC 320 in iTunes, and would you recommend this? Thanks
you definitely can, the ONL:Y reason I convert downloaded tracks from sources like Beatport, PromoOnly, etc...... Is the CDJ's seem very picky over everything like album art, CBR vs VBR, but rates and so on so I download lossless quality files and then convert using the same setting so all my tracks are the same across the board, 320CBR AAC with no album art
Thanks so much!
anytime!
Hello,
I changed all my music to AAC 320, when I imported all my music into rekordbox, the key filed is now empty, and the key of the song now appears in the comments area. Is this normal? Before with MP3 the key of the song would appear in the Key section of rekordbox. I use Mixed in Key software. Thanks in advance.
it might being RB analyzes it's own key so maybe it takes your key and moves it to comments. I personally do not analyze keys so I am not 100% sure
Cool, Thanks!
I have no-end of files downloaded in M4a format, what is the best & quickest way of solving my problem to work with Rekordbox?
I am using Rekordbox 3
You can convert the tracks to AAC 320 or MP3 320 in a converter (ITunes/Easy CD-DA Extractor) and go from there.
