I was able to get firmware 1.31 to take on my DJM-900nexus. Will update after the weekend as to whether this helps the NXS-GW issue.
Hello all,
The club I play at was lucky enough to be selected by Pioneer USA to use the new Nexus Gateway to send information to KUVO. I worked with the club to install it in hopes that everything would get done correctly. I've got 2 CDJ-900s, and a DJM-900nexus. CDJs are running firmware 4.3, and the mixer is on 1.30 - haven't had any luck updating to 1.31 yet. Each deck and the mixer are connected to a network switch, which is connected to the NXS-GW, which is connected to the internet.
Unfortunately, only one of the decks seems to be communicating with the gateway. The functioning deck displays what seem to be "On Air" indicators around the player number in the lower left of the display. The non-functioning deck does not. I'm using the link feature to play tracks off of one Rekordbox flash drive, with my KUVO key enabled. I have also tried using one flash drive per deck, with the same result.
As far as troubleshooting goes, I have swapped out Cat-5 cables, tried different port orders on the switch, and re-flashed firmware on the decks, all with no luck.
Gavin or Pulse, have you gotten a chance to explore the gateway unit much yet? I realize this unit is brand new, but I thought I would go ahead and offer up my experience and hopefully begin a dialogue on this awesome new piece of kit.
Thanks!
