2000NXS hot cues on non analyzed wav

I have a bunch of vocal drops on a USB stick that I created myself in wav format, they are not rb-analyzed since I often change them, throw them away and make new ones.

I have put hot cues on some of them to mess around a little bit. I've seen that after turning off the CDJs and turning them on again I can still find the hot cues on the wav files, but I cannot really use them: I see the hot cues marked in green with green triangles on the top of the pseudo-waveform but not at the bottom and the hot cues button don't light up in green. So if I want to use them again I have to go to record mode and put hot cues again in the same positions, then I'll find the markers also at the bottom of the pseudo-waveform and the buttons will be green again.

Is this the normal behavior? It seems strange to me that these hot cues are somehow saved but not really usable.
