That would look nice!
Just been thinking about this - the CDJ 2000nexus has a full colour display according to the press release;
http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/newsroom/news/CDJ-2000nexus/page.html
So why is only a blue waveform displayed? Surely a firmware update could allow this to mimic the rekordbox multi-coloured waveforms?
I can't see how it can be a hardware limitation.

That would look nice!
But that would mean there has to be a firmware update :-|
Haha^
Hopefully the new owners of pioneer will pick up the ball!
I don't think we'll ever see it on the Nexus. Marketing needs to find arguments to sell you the next model of CDJ. The colored waveform will be one of those argument to convince you to buy the new model ;)
The official answer will be that the cpu of the current model is not powerful enough or that because some obscure chipset limitation is not possible to have it on the current model.
I'm thinking the same as Julia. Also to add, I really think that they take a lot of our great ideas and contemplate if we should get it in our current decks or they should just use them for the new decks to keep us all still interested in what they put out. I can honestly say that my next purchase will be a controller and it will not be the brand I have been dedicated to for the past decade or so... This is only because of the events that have unfolded and no anger involved in this decision. It just doesn't make any logical sense to spend thousands of dollars on these equipment that have next to little support or promise for future improvements of any sort.
Just my 2 cents.
I agree. I wish they had better support, and would make these products rock solid.
Ive upgraded 3 times, and now I am done with my platinum edition s. They do what I need lol
in 2 weeks time, it will be ONE YEAR since the last meaningful update on the 2000NXS. no new features added, just some bugs fixed and others not fixed. piss poor.
The idea will be passed on to the engineers, but judging from the responses here I think we're good on this thread.
