Close & lock a thread without real resolution!?*@!!

I have recent threads that were suddenly ended without giving anyone else a chance to help.  I have a mint condition 11 month old CDJ 2000 nexus with very little use that no longer works because its giving a "communication error code". I was told they were going to talk with the engineers BUT after asking which Pioneer telephone number should I call for help they close the thread.

These don't seem like people that want to help but instead they are just smart asses. I get better help at other forums online than I do here at Pioneer. Lots of my friends & associates tell me about pioneer deleting their threads in the past or just shutting them down when they no longer want to deal with it and now I see what they are talking about. They get the last word on your thread and then "close" & "Lock" the thread so they don't have to talk to you anymore BUT more importantly no one else on the forums can help solve your issue either. Chump move.

You can close, lock & delete any thread here but you can stop the damage happening on other DJ forums online or in the real world at large event and night clubs. I spent about $20,000 on Pioneer gear just in the last year and when my 11 month old CDJ 2000 Nexus stopped working I had to go buy one of the new XDJ 1000 decks to get me by with some of my gigs and you don't even want me started ranting about that that XDJ 1000 piece of crap. Its cheap, dinky & just generally..... crappy. The touchscreen is the only good part about it.

So I came to get help on these forums about one of Pioneer's Flagship DJ product and I got little help before my threads was "closed" & "Locked".

Not only do I run an online marketing company (you know, advertising) but I'm networked with many of the owners of the night clubs in some of the biggest cities in the Southern United States including Houston (4th largest city in America), Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando, etc. I talked many of these club owners into buying Pioneer DJ gear when they already had a different setup. It sad really. So go ahead and close this thread too because all you are doing is forcing us to go elsewhere for help on your product.

I'm taking this message everywhere else until I get the resolution. I think I deserve it for being a loyal customer AND evangelist for pioneer and all the money I have spent on pioneer gear. If you don't close, delete or lock the thread don't come back with more smart fellow comments. Just come back with something that can help resolve the problem...or maybe give someone on these forums a chance to help. The End.

For clarification, my main issue is with one on my nearly mint CDJ 2000 Nexus that stopped working IN THE MIDDLE OF A THREE HOUR SET and the CDJ Nexus is now giving a "Error code 8709" (See image above) which is a communication error of some kind. When you get this error like I'm having the CDJ will do nothing....nothing. You can't update the firmware (even though I'm running the lastest version already), can't force re-start the unit, can't do anything. The only thing that lights up is the screen and the track/search buttons. no other lights on the CDJ are present.

@Jim > I'm sorry you're upset that the thread was locked, but you were given the solution to your problem -- to contact technical support. There is nothing else that anyone can help you with here on the forums as nobody, not even myself, is authorized to provide you with the technical instructions necessary to address the problem you're having with your CDJ. You need to have the unit serviced. From your posts, clearly you have read up on various sources outside the forums regarding the problem and potential fixes. You indicated yourself that the CDJ is only 11 months old, meaning it's still covered by warranty. I closed the thread to prevent others from trying to provide the wrong advice, and I directed you to contact technical support via the links at the right side of this page, where you can find a 1-800 number for North America.

Bad things can happen to even brand-new-out-of-the-box CDJs, so I'm sorry that this happened to your "mint" player, but at this point if you want your player working as "mint," you will have to get it repaired. It's not like you can flip a switch to have it working flawlessly again.
