Do i NEED rekordbox to be able to play music on cdj 900s? Or can i just plug the usb stick or cd into it n play? you do not need RB but there are a lot of benefits if you do use it like instant waves, bpm, etc...
Will i be able to see the bpm n the waveform if i dont use rekordbox? yes, but it calculates and builds as its played because it hasn't been analyzed by RB, the data should save though after its built completely so the next time you play the track the data is there right away
And tell me honestly which players do u prefer? the 900's are great IF you do not need or want hot starts, for me I choose the 2000's because I use ABC hot starts a lot and the 900's do not offer this
Maybe check out the XDJ-1000's. they offer the benefits of both the 900 and 2000 (minus the cd drive) at a great price
