Rekordbox E-8309 on Pioneer XDJ1000 with MacBook Pro

Hi Pioneer,
This problem is one that is quite precarious and has been tested and troubleshooted quite throughly by myself and a friend trained in networking following through Pioneer guidelines. I have filled out the pro-forma below and below that have detailed specifics about how it has been tested and various results. I am almost certain this issue is specific to not only the software but primarily its components and how they are running on my MacBook.

0) Have you read the "READ ME FIRST" thread in its entirety AND TRIED THE SOLUTIONS THERE before posting: Yes, I swear it!
1) Operating System: OSX 10.10.4 Macbook Pro Mid-2012 Retina
2) OS Type: 64bit
3) rekordbox version: 3.2.1
4) Using LINK: Yes
4b) LINK Connection method: Wired TP LINK TL-SG1005D with generic USB to Ethernet 10/100
4c) Using with CDJs: Yes, XDJ-1000, Firmware 1.04
9) Are you able to repeat / reproduce the problem: Yes
9a) If yes, can you do it consistently: Yes
10) Does the problem occur with one specific song: No
11) Any other notes regarding your setup only: Problem has been tested using Wi-Fi AP and received same error message.
12) Provide as much detail of the issue here:
Initially set players and link up straight out of the box into my home booth, using MacBook Pro, 10/100 adaptor and TP-Link switch, opened rekordbox, gave it the required allowances for the Firewall as dialog boxes popped up, and link worked a breeze, played for probably 60 minutes before shutting down players, disconnecting laptop and trying to tidy cabling. On reboot of players and reconnection of laptop, the link refused to work, giving an error E-8309 as soon as rekordbox was selected on the player screen.

Following this I went through the recommended course of action for these players, rebooting them, restarting my computer, shutting down firewall, and ultimately connecting straight to one player. At this first time I connected straight to one player - the rekordbox connection worked again. I then tried to connect through the switch to no avail. At this point I proceeded to give up for the day, and continued to use the players with USB flash memory and the link between them.

The next day I tried again, restarted players and connected computer, once again with no success. This time I thought I would try and connect through a WAP with my phone and laptop to try and eliminate if the issue was player-side or rekordbox/computer-side. When connected through Wi-Fi, rekordbox on my MacBook still wouldn't work, however it did on my phone. Furthermore, I grabbed a family member's PC and connected to rekordbox, which worked fine through an ethernet connection and then to the switch.

Yesterday, I consulted a more experienced friend on the issue, and first connected their PC to the setup, in which rekordbox immediately worked.

Following this we tried my MacBook, where the link button shows up, players are on the screen, change between green and orange, but E-8309 keeps occurring. We had a look at the current processes running, and it appears edb_streamd is undergoing a lot of errors (it indicated 283), however all 4 processes, open and close on startup and shutdown of the rekordbox app. We also tried downgrading to lower rekordbox software (V 3.0.0) but yet to no avail.

The most perplexing thing about this is that this setup with my computer worked once, then has now proceeded to only ever work once momentarily again.
Apart from using my computer, it appears link and rekordbox is operating as expected.

Could you please advise the next step to follow as this is quite a tricky situation for me - I have thousands of tracks analysed in my database and need this huge catalogue on rekordbox for gigs.

Thanks heaps,

Liam

Downgrading won't help; the XDJ-1000 requires a newer version of the software, so best to use 3.2.1.

Please try disabling the firewall completely, turn off the wifi, and connect one player directly to the ethernet.

Hey Pulse,
Thanks for getting back to me. Been through all those mentioned steps and seems as if I'm still stuck in the same place.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can try.

@Brutus > Even with the wireless and firewall both disabled, one XDJ can not link to rekordbox?

Please also disable ANY other networks you may have (eg. a bluetooth PAN).
