rekordbox dj + xdj-aero

Hi, i've just bought rekordbox dj but I don't see aero as a controller listed!!! so is it possible that aero doesn't work with the new rekordbox dj?? this would be absurd... and another question, how can I use hot cues registered with rekordbox with aero? many thanks

When you purchased your XDJ-AERO, you bought a stand-alone device which is capable of playing rekordbox prepared content. Nowhere on the packaging or product description was there mention of being able to control rekordbox as a DVS directly from the controller. Your AERO already does more now than it was capable of at the first release.

The initial rekordbox DJ release will only support certain models of the Pioneer product line, but may expanded to include other models as time goes on. You can continue to use rekordbox (even rekordbox 4.0) as a tool to prepare your music for the AERO at no cost.

ok, but it's strange because aero can be used as a controller with virtual dj or traktor... and aero also have the midi controller function... so to me I don't understand why rekordbox is not compatible with aero... now I have to buy traktor and others will do the same... i'm sorry becaouse reordbox dj looks great. About rekordbox 4, how can i recall hot cues i've set with rekordbox 4 on xdj aero? many thanks again!

@Gabriele > The AERO is not currently supported, and regardless of what @Gulli has posted, I'm sorry but there will be no support provided for PERFORMANCE MODE until Pioneer announces that it is a supported hardware model, but we don't have confirmation that it will be at this point.

The AERO will continue to operate as normal with rekordbox 4 for preparing your tracks and exporting them to devices as it did with rekordbox 3.

Pulse, you said that "You can continue to use rekordbox (even rekordbox 4.0) as a tool to prepare your music for the AERO at no cost." I have XDJ-AERO, and 3.3 version of Rekordbox. If I install Rekordbox 4.0 how does that no cost thing be validated? Do I enter my AERO serialnumber in the software or how? I am definately not going to purchase at any price.

@remotion > If you use the rekordbox 4 in EXPORT mode, it does not ask you for a serial number. Even if you go to the PERFORMANCE mode, you'd enter the 30 day trial mode (by pressing the TRIAL button).

@Pulse > What means performance mode? If I use my MBP or iPhone to assign tracks to either deck but do not want to any other control from Rekordbox when playing, is that export mode or performance mode?

I have another question too. How in 3.3version if I have big folder full of music files. And once in a while I buy/get more and put them in the same folder. How can I simply import whole folder without those songs already in RekordBox being Duplicated? I did not find any setting that would avoid getting duplicates.

If you can help me I really thank you! :)

@remotion > You don't need to enter anything - the software is free. You download it from the website and simply don't use the performance mode within rekordbox, you only use the export mode (which is exactly the same as rekordbox 3).

Imports do not duplicate - it will recognize that they already exist and ignore them.
