My issue is we're you keeping it a secrete? Did you plan on telling anyone?

You known in all due respect Pulse sometimes i dont know if you really care for any forum users?

@Philip > I'm not a robot, but I am powerful. With just a few keystrokes I can send my words around the world! POWERRRRRRRRRR!

Saying that there is no concern or communication pertaining to Pioneer products is the most amusing thing I've heard all week. I have spent more time answering questions on these forums in the last 9 days than I have in the last two months.

I wasn't keeping any updates secret. It's not my obligation, nor do I have the ability, to let every user know about every single change or update Pioneer releases. Fortunately for you, we do provide the user with the tools to do just that yourself! You can subscribe to forum and article sections of our website to receive notifications when anything is posted. You can follow us on social media such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. You can also use the auto-update feature on your iOS device to always have the newest version of the app.

I trust you can find the answers you seek, and should you need assistance with something, you are welcome to post, and like the hundreds of other users asking questions, I will answer you in a timely manner.

Oh, and the forums aren't a torment, I've been dealing with sympathetic and cooperative users for 16 years, and I'm still here.

@Pulse is a forum moderator who serves a dual purpose of helping out others and relaying user problems to the Pioneer engineering team. Speaking from personal experience as a former moderator for another company, communication for a forum mod is one-directional only. In other words, the moderator (@Pulse) relays information to the company (Pioneer), the company (Pioneer) does not relay information to him. In addition, you should've been notified via red numerical widget from your App store iOS app when the update became available for your app–which would be much faster then waiting for @Pulse to post a message announcing the update release.

There seems to be a lack of knowledge about forum moderators and their roles/responsibilities and limitations. Chances are that at one point @Pulse had to sign a NDA (non-disclosure agreement) with Pioneer. For the uninitiated, a NDA is a contract stating that the signee is not permitted to say a damn thing about upcoming products/releases/apps and, if he or she does so, they will be terminated and possibly sued. In other words, even if @Pulse is aware of inside information he is legally bound by contract to not discuss it.

If you have ever been a part of other company forums for other DJ/Audio companies, you would be quick to notice their moderators act the same as @Pulse. The difference, however, is that @Pulse is light-years faster to respond to user problems and to assist in any way that he can–even when said user problems can easily be solved by reading the manual. Yet despite all the shit @Pulse catches from users, he still continues to hold their hand and resolve their issues the best that he can, no matter how big or small the problem is. He cannot authorize returns/refunds, he can provide information as to where to request them. He cannot announce the status of updates/fixes, he can only pass information to the engineering team for them to address any problems and accept suggestions.

With regards to app releases, that's a whole other can of worms. Once an app has been submitted to Apple, all bets are off with regards to when Apple will post the app to the app store because it has to go through Apple's rigorous review protocols. Again, something that is well beyond the power of @Pulse.

Cheers.

lostnthesound I appreciate your answering my concern about communication with in the forum and to forum members specifically on topics we create and are near and dear to us and I respectfully note all of the important information written and legal mumble jumble above.

My concern is that Pioneer DJ has a forum for requests, questions etc and to my knowledge someone or a machine moderates it by the name of @Pulse if that is a robot or just someone(s) sitting in front of the computer so be it.

Unfortunately and lately there seems to be no communication to the forum or forum of the members of any issues pertaining to Pioneer DJ products that are so near and dear to us. In addition the release of the same come without any foresight (not my issue and understood i am on a need to know basis) but out of the blue as it pertains to any of a requested form of functionality. It would have been nice to let people know who use the software that there are thoughts or upgrading it and if there are any special needs or any requests LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES. I would hate to hear that the users were not allowed to make any and we are the meaningless servants of the great Pioneer DJ Man.

As far as @Pulse being powerful or not, that is up to @Pulse.

@Pulse

It is good to know that you are a HUMAN and not a robot as insinuated by lostinthesound!

Over the last 24 hours I had this concern because I know that you have been extremely responsive to all of our questions before. In many cases giving us all the assurance that you are "FIVE IS ALIVE".

Congratulations on your Tenure!

It is good to know that our Forum Moderater is responsive to everything but responsible for nothing.
