Is your wifi disabled? Are you connected directly or via a thunderbolt / USB ethernet adapter?

Can't connect Xdj rx to rekordbox on Mac - not El Capitan, Yosemite
Using Yosemite on Mac I just bought. Connected rx via lan to the max, link button doesn't appear on screen, even when firewall is turned off on mac

I have just got it sorted. The only way it worked for me was disable wifi, disable internet sharing, turn off firewall.
Connect rekordbox via Ethernet It takes around 20 secs or so for link to show up so u gota be patient (as opposed to my laptop which is instant), click link and in good to go.
I then turned the firewall back on and allowed all the pop ups which allow access to rekordbox , there are 3 or 4 programs which need to be allowed from memory.
Restart rx and rekordbox on Mac and this time it connects with firewall on. After that I can then enable wifi again too and it works with wifi as well.
I think the trick is to be patient for the link button to appear.
