Moving collection to new computer, without same file location
hello i am trying to move my collection from my computer to my laptop, win 7 to win 8. i wish to only use my laptop for music from now on if this helps, i just want to relocate the data base including playlist cue points the actual 60gb of music files. i have been trying to do this for weeks but all say i need to have same file location but this is just not possible i have tried backing up collection and getting the rekordbox_bak folder with all 60gb of back up but cannot import that on new computer is there anyway of doing this please help it is killing me trying

Specifically, how to move all the files to another disk, but on the same computer?

thank you for you response, i tried this but it does not move all the actual files onto the external drive the move database option only moves the playlists info etc , i need to actually move the files to my laptop i dont need to use my desktop anymore if this helps

It worked before we had a glitch in the forums and that particular document had to be rebuilt and now lives at a new address. Try this link instead.
