Not a question or idea, just thinking about it for future needs.
Let's suppose there is RX setup in the club where in one night few DJs are going to use it. How does the transition looks like, if ( in majority ) only USB drives are used?
If we are using both USB ports to play music, i can understand how to switch DJs. Replace one USB with the other while one playing music is still inserted.
But what about when i want to record the whole night to another USB, so the second port is constantly in use? Does that mean, that only one USB can be used through out the night and if someone else wants to take over it has to be via notebook and LINK connection?
How does RX actually play music? Directly from the USB or does it load a file into internal memory - like a buffer or something?
I noticed yesterday that while playing a track and ejecting USB stops playing the track.

If you use the roll trick, you can remove the USB drive, but my recommendation is to use another source or simply stop the recording. Did you know you can record to the same drive you're using as a source?

Well like you said one could bring a Laptop/macbook and use prolink at least for one song while switching/ removing USB sticks...... OR I guess you could also use the RCA outs and record to a laptop/ smartphone/ tablet or something instead of recording direct to USB that way both ports are free to be messed with..
What about a wild idea, have to try it though.

Will it stop or play wile removing USB. I suspect it should play normally.
Woulda been nice to have a pair of USBs and a dedicated one for recording. Not just for transitions, sometimes I like to juggle tracks on a few USBs. Well, sometimes turns out to be quite often...
