Apologies if a similar topic may exist, I have searched but found non with this exact comparison.
I'm looking for opinions, I'm in the process of selling my CDJ-850's and can't decide between a pair of either :
CDJ-2000's (Mk1 2010) or
CDJ-900 NXS (Mk2 2014)
I can get a pair of either for the exact same price.
Whats important for me is having an accurate representation of a club set up (2K/2K NXS), at home. The 850s did a great job at this but I can't fully master the 'feel' or the interface (sorting etc) without the upgrade.
I like the look of the 900NXS, but dont want to spoil myself with the zoomed in wave form display / beat divide / traffic light system when these features wont be there if playing out on MK1 2Ks
The Mk1 2Ks are still pretty much the industry standard and seem like an obvious choice given my argument, but im aprehensive about buying units which may be towards the end of their lives. More and more I find myself turning up to venues to be greeted with a full nexus set up, so I feel like if I bought MK1 2Ks, they'd end up depreciating in value pretty quickly. However having said that, i'm not so confident the 900NXS will hold their value either since they're not flagship.
Any comments/opinions from owners/users of both would be appreciated :)

The only real question is what to expect from players... Looking image to show up well in the photos or looking for features that make your session will be original and professional ??
Both models are quite good but i would choose the one that best makes me feel more professional and let me raise the level of my creativity in my performances.

You're absolutely right, and in the ideal world I'd buy the unit which, as you say allows me to raise the level of creativity in my sets. The problem is, I cant be confident the venue will always have nexus players (although its happening more frequently). In that case, ive wasted my time mastering the features I wont be able to use when playing to a crowd. I may have also wasted my money if the 900 drops in value due to it not being flagship.
Its a tricky one - Play it safe, master the 2Ks and never learn the nexus specific features? or take a chance and get the latest models, only to find clubs are still stocking MK1s....
Olah Michael. I know it's a very hard decision for you but at the end, i supose that to follow global & mutitudinary homogenized rules, today, in this world, possibly is the best option

I own a pair of 900 Nexuses and don't feel that occasionally downgrading to 2000's is a big problem. You of course have less stuff to play with but since the MK1's are slowly being faded out from most clubs this will be for a limited time.
By the Nexuses, enjoy the flashy screen and fun tools, and sometimes you will have to settle for a "non nexus" gig. Also, the second hand market price for them will be much better than for the 2000 MK1's.
