DJM S9 Echo Bug?

I am not sure if it is a bug really but I noticed last night that if the echo effect is set to 1/32 and the level depth is thrown to full wet, when I put the effect lock on and let the effect settle in and then turn the lock off the effect doesn't go away until I back off of the level depth. This happens even while playing the DJM in standalone mode. The firmware I am running is 1.04

I see. I wasn't sure if it was suppose to loop like that even when turning off the lock.

I'm using hold echo as a loop recorder a lot, but the S9 is limited to 4 beats only. That's not enough, I'd need at least 16 beats / 4 bars, but 32 would be even better.

I spent a lot of time on a 900nxs and I only really used echo for buildups but using 1ms timing. Still getting use to using a lever instead of a button for triggering effects. I kinda wish there was an option to press the beat fx button to turn off effects.

@Kyle > Once you get used to the paddle, you'll love it. I SO preferred the toggle switch on the DJM-909 to the on/off button of the wide format DJMs, so it's great to have this back, but I have fallen in love with the touch-strip on the DJM900NXS/SRT.

Having the button continue to flash at me is counter-intuitive, but at least you always have one active when you hit the paddle.

I miss the touch strip as well. I think it would also be cool if somehow we could do individual FX sends to a RMX. I think I might know what I am going to be researching later today. lol

I had an awkward song transition at the club two weekends ago because of this lol. Going to take some getting used to making a transition from a rane mixer but I love the S9.

I'd really like the option to use the FX buttons to switch the FX on, coming from a Rane 62. That way I could leave the paddle up and the wet/dry where I need it and just press the FX button I need before dropping the fader. I don't mind the paddles I'd juast like the option to hit a button...
