They're here! Thanks for your patience, today Pioneer announced the second release of drivers for Mac OS X 10.11.
Be sure you're using at least 10.11.1!
With all the fuzz going on about the El Capitan drivers, I was wondering: what if Pioneer decides to stop supporting future releases of OSX for certain hardware?
Will we be able to write our own drivers? I can find some USB audio driver sources on the website, but I'm unsure what those are.
As I'm only a hobby user, I was hoping the DJM850 would be the last mixer I'd have to buy for a while.

That's not the case. The truth is Pioneer is very slow to respond to updates (in comparison to other companies its' own size and caliber). Hold tight you will have it one day.
I'm not too worried about the El Capitan drivers, what about OSX Badger Pass or OSX Glacier Point?
It is against pioneer policy to provide ETA's on updates, fixes to their valuable customers. They kindly ask that you just wait it out.
