Rekorbox migration to new windows 10 laptop C drive only 128gb ssd!

Hi

Just purchased a new laptop with windows 10 and two hard drives, C drive being a 128gb ssd (containing windows/system etc). On my old laptop all my tracks were saved on the C drive along with any software. So obviously due to file names/paths etc (I made sure both new and old laptop have same computer name) I will only be able to have the rekordbox software on the C Drive (128gb ssd) and all my tracks on the D Drive (1TB). So I'm guessing that rekordbox database will not find the tracks as they are on a different drive. I know I can use an external hard drive and have all my tracks & database available that way but was hoping to be able to just play from the laptop on some occasions. Is this possible in the new rekordbox or is it still the same rule that they have to have the exact file locations? If not has the new search track function been updated from rekordbox 3 where you had to physically select any subdirectories to find specific missing tracks or does it automatically look in subdirectories? Hopefully it does as will just reload all my missing tracks (sat in the D drive) that way.

Thanks

FRYER

With all your music in the same directory structure on the D drive, simply open rekordbox and use the locate missing files tool - it will ask you to find one of the files and then can intelligently relocate everything else in your collection.

it's easy
use the menu file, database, save database, include music file.
install rekordbox on the new laptop and make restore database choose your disk d.

OK so I now have my tracks all loading on my new laptop after using the relocate function (very lengthy process as my music is saved in many subdirectories!).  But I noticed all artwork and preview waveforms are missing?  I can get the preview waveforms back up by re-anylizing the tracks...but the artwork is still missing.  I've also got a few hundred tracks that have been beatgrided and cue points set so not going to re-analyze those as will lose all beatgrided/cue points etc. The main waveform works fine and any locked tracks I had the saved cue points and altered beatgrids are visible.  Any idea why this is happening or if there is a fix.

@FRYER > I'm only speculating but it could be because of the database mismatching the tracks and their respective artwork after the files were moved and relocated. It should be a matter of re-analysing all the tracks and the grid and memory points should come back, but perhaps try one as a sample to see if that recovers properly.
