[SOLVED] USB extension cable?

Is there any issue to using a USB  extention cable on a cdj with a usb stick?

My reason being i have my cdj's flight cased and i i dont like having the sticks on show. Ive always used an ipod or SD card (sd card obviously hidden) and the ipod can sit under a cover out of the way safe in my flightcase.

I'd look to do the same with a usb stick. I have been looking as SSD's but theres a dramatic cost difference between the 2 so thought id ask the question about this cable to allow me to sit it inside my flight case.
