[SOLVED] 2000 Nexus and other mixers

Hey all. I have been a die hard and dedicated denon guy for many years. I am now going to purchase a pair of 2000 nexus. I want to make sure that I can link the two together and use a single/multiple music source, software etc...without using a nexus mixer? Is what I reading correct and this can be done?

I will be staying with my denon 1600 mixer for a while.

Thanks. Just trying to see what the advantage is of getting the djm 900 nexus mixer. Since these are more for the studio, the effects and such are driven by traktor and the pieces I have from them.

Or is there something I am missing from having the 900 nexus with the 2000 nexus cdj's?

for one they all link ogether so when you use effects all the bpms and beats stay right on immediately instead of having to wait for the mixer to auto calc the bpm for an effect.  I just prefer the layut and sound of the Pioneer mixers over the denon, all persoanl preference really. Plus I love how uniform it all looks in one case and how well they all work as 1 package

I agree. I loved denon for the feel of vinyl. Especially after I retired the techs.

@Diego > As BriChi has pointed out, when you integrate the 900 into your setup everything works that much more tightly - benefitting from the use of rekordbox / Quantize etc.

Unfortunately, we cannot discuss competitors gear on these boards but I do wish you well with your decision and we are always happy to help here.
