Follow[CLOSED] Error in LOOP and SLIP in CDJ 2000 Nexus
Putting CDJ Nexus 2000 in a loop and pressing the SLIP occurs the following errors:
- Pressing any value in the needle search the music comes out of the loop but keeps active with SLIP.
Pressing PLAY / PAUSE with a VINYL SPEE. ADJUSTvalue the music enters STOP but pressing again PLAY / PAUSE the music does not return to the position playing with the function SLIP but back to the STOP position. The red marker on JOG spinning normally.
FWD / REV also have the same problem.
SCRATCH JOG also produces the same problem.
Thus you can not use SLIP when running a LOOP.

No. Loop before Slip.
This isn't a feature. That's like saying that being unable to use the phaser and roll effects in the DJM900 at the same time is an error. Enabling a slip loop only allows you to loop then exit the loop at the point in the track where you would have been had you never entered the loop. Sorry.
I did not understand but in the case of CDJ2000 NXS is possible to use both features at the same time, which is not possible with the effects of the mixer. If it is a resource that can not be used in conjunction with another feature, the firmware must be updated to prevent this problem.
Doctor DJ the features do work as you want them - you have to press slip first, then you can use the blue loop buttons.
I do not want to use this feature. I'm reporting a bug in the CDJ, only this.
Doctor DJ is in a LOOP and then he decides the use the functions of slip mode...from that moment he will have an "error".
I just tested this out. Same thing happens on my cdj's.
So if you are in a normal loop, None of the slip functions will work...
Strange
Well this only makes sense to me and isn't a bug - you have to be in Slip Mode before you enter Loop Mode.
Being in Loop Mode and trying to engage Slip mode, I can only assume, you are trying to achieve the loop continuing in Slip Mode and then mashing up that loop with the loop settings while the underlying loop (not the track, as the track would be "stopped" at that point) keeps playing - correct?
You are correct gavin! The loop should continue in slip mode.
As for now , the slip mode doesn't work while in a normal loop...
But think about this: ( maybe for in a future update)
-If you make a "normal" loop => the track will loop and will NOT continue to proceed in time. This is normal behavior.
If you then enter SLIP mode with that loop , does it need to proceed in time underneath the loop ?Like if you have made the loop directly in slip mode?
Or should it still act as a normal loop?
Anyway, It still would be better if you can still enter slip mode AFTER you have made a loop and use Slip features like the reverse etc...
I doubt the buffer could handle that much data to be honest but I'll put it forward as a suggestion.
Ok thanks gav!
If you can get in two functions at the same time and this causes an error then it is a bug.
I also did the test with the ACTIVE LOOP. If for some reason I forget the function SLIP enabled and has a ACTIVE LOOP in the music the problem will also occur when entering the ACTIVE LOOP.
If the function SLIP is active and I create a loop with the buttons IN / OUT the problem will also occur.
The truth is the SLIP function function normally within a LOOP, as it works with the music playing normally.
