In addition I noticed the USB indicator is showing a warning in Serato quite often now and my CPU level is high now

[CLOSED] Difference in speed in serato changing from CDJ900 to CDJ 2000'S
I recently changed from a pair of CDJ900 's to 2000'S, I'm using serato in my setup. When I had the 900' s they worked flawlessly whither the program now that I have my 2000'S hooked up (via HID) there seems to be Quite a bit of lag, for example when scrolling for tracks via the robots knob there is a delay also I seem to be having a harder time beat matching when the other players were extremely easy and accurate. My laptop is around 4 years and could be ready for replacement. Could it be that the CDJ 2000'S use up more memory due to the extra features?

not sure what the reason, but it's not just you. I havent used Serato since RB added the link feature years ago but I do remember the lag in scrolling and the constant need to ride the pitch.
you may want to complain on Seratos forum too being that they program serato to work with the 2000
