On the CDJ850 what happens when you hold the "Loop-in" button in?
At the first moment I bought my 850's I fell in love with them. I still love them indeed! But my issue is, when will Pioneer is actually going to (or ever going to) release the update for Quantized loop for 850's? I'm not using rekordbox, or any sort of computer software to play.
I mean, it shouldn't be that hard to update or develop. Manually looping is fine, but the issue is, why put the "auto loop" buttons if I have to manually loop the track?

What do you mean? When it's already looping or when the track goes on as it is?
On the CDJ2000NXS's while a track is playing if you hold the "Loop-in" button pressed for a second or so it automatically activates a 4-beat quantised loop if I am not mistaken
Well there's a "4" button on the 850's but the issue is, it's not looping perfectly, it skips beats. rhat's why I have to do it manually all the time, that's why I opened this topic, (for no reason apparently) but why put the "auto loop" buttons if it's not going to be flawless. A problem that's unsolved for 850's, shouldn't be that hard but, I don't know.
I don't think this issue has been solved yet.
Check out this 3 year old thread that has 2 pages of people complaining about the auto-loop not working as precisely as it should on the CDJ850's...
Well, I already checked that thread, highly appreciate it. But apparently, the developers of Pioneer are mainly focused on their new products to take care about the old ones. I'm okay manually looping the track, have been DJ'ing enough to take care of a simple 4-beat. It's just a matter of update, that's all. If not, why did I even bother buying those if it's not gonna do a super simple thing for me? Just because it has USB ports? I was okay with my old 1000 MK-II's,
Yeah I agree with you on that one Saruhan and a lot of other people unfortunately do to.
Sometimes it is frustrating when there are bugs to be fixed etc. as asked by us users but Pioneer rather put's their time and R&D into newer stuff that is not always as important. Like they think we all have money to just always buy the newest products.
I've checked the old thread and it's funny actually. It says, "manually loop it, like the old days"... Like come on, that's more of an insult than being sarcasting. It's like a loop hole that Pioneer has made, why put those buttons if it's not gonna loop precisely for me, or if I'm looping manually, why do I need those buttons? Not everyone can manually loop a track, that's why Pioneer have put those buttons for users to make their life easier, apparently didn't. But whatever, gonna try my hardest for this thing whether if it's gonna work or not.
yeah I learned myself to do manual looping on my 2000NXS'es by switching Quantize off and mixing tracks by covering the screen so that I can not see the wave forms, BPM or anything but yeah hope Pioneer can solve this...
Let's see what they say when they respond...
Still no answers in two days...
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Looping doesn't work properly on the CDJ2000 Nexus and the XDJ1000 and Pioneer can't seem to fix that so I can't see older models getting a fix and the current flagship players not getting one...
see this thread running on this subject for over a year.... the 'answer' from Pioneer to the broken loop situation; 'use sync'. Unbelievable.
That's why they came up with rekordbox years ago but the issue is, the company is forcing us to use that technology in order to get full performance from the equipment that they produced and developed.
Damn it, I don't want to use that technology. End of story and they HAVE to provide what they promised, at least, properly.
