@Valentino > It could be that the rekordbox database is damaged. Before I give you instructions, can you tell me which operating system you're using?
Hello
I just installed a new mac, and wanted to import the Rekordbox backup. The Application crashed during the import and now does not start with the message 'unexpected application error'.
I tried to delete all the files and reinstall, no success.
What can I do? on mac yosemite
best regards

Hello as written above its x os yosemite. 10.10.
i did uninstall and delete all pioneer files i could find and reinstall. Same error message like before.
Sorry, missed that as it wasn't title case. :o
Please go to the Finder, go to the menu and select Go > Go to Folder... and enter ~/Library/Pioneer/, then click Go.
Select the rekordbox folder and rename it rekordbox-old, then try installing rekordbox again.
I renamed the folder, uninstalled, installed again. same error message. not even starting up.

I don't need the dump file yet. Can you try again, at this location:
~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/
Rename both the rekordbox and rekordbox3 folders (if both exist) as well as the folder per above, and then reinstall and try again.
ok that was success, thanks! I will now try to restore from time machine instead of the rekordbox backup file.
Awesome. You should be able to restore the contents of that first folder and have your database contents good to go.
~/Library/Pioneer?
~/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox
Sorry that wasn't clear. ;)
ok. sadly I don-t have that in my time machine for some reason. I imported my music files now already.
I made xml export as well before, now I put the link to that xml files in the preferences and restarted, but no playlists show up.
The playlists are stored in the masterPlaylists3.xml and smartlist.xml files.
ok, where would they need to be safe? found them in the bak backup file
does not get me any playlists back. I finally found the library folder from the Time Machine as well. no success in getting my playlists. it-s quite a problem, need to perform
Have your tried importing your export database again?
