DDJ-RX + Rekordbox + Mixed In Key + Using Lossless Media

Hi there, I need answers to a couple of questions before purchasing the DDJ-RX.
I want to use lossless media files but see that flac isnt supported :(
So... is using aiff files the best option?
I need to use the MIK key system (Camelot wheel mode), is this supported in Rekordbox?
Is flac ever going to be supported in Rekordbox?

Thanks :)

Apple lossless is supported in Rekordbox, so that could be an option. Can't help with your other questions.

Hi there and thanks for the reply :)
Anyidea if the "key" in Rekordbox is set in stone using standard Music key" or can this be changed edited to camelot?
I am guessing the key from MIK gets dropped in to the comments tag?

There is an option in MIK to overwrite the key in Camelot and it shows up in the "key" field in Rekordbox. I just bought Mixed in Key 7 and I love it!

Flac is also supported in Rekordbox 4.0 , but you can't export it. (Pioneer-Hardware still does not support Flac nor Appple lossless)
But you can use Flac and Alac when using Rekordbox DJ

As an addition, my whole DJ-Music collection consists of Flac-files, it works great with Rekordbox DJ (Beatgrids, Hot-Cues, Quantize, all works as good as with *.mp3 or *.wav)

Just to make it clear, the DDJ-RX does not support Flac natively (none of the Pioneer Hardware does.) Only RekordBox DJ on a Laptop with a Pioneer Controller.

You are right, I was confused. The DDJ-RX is just a controller, its the Rekordbox version of the DDJ-SX2 (which I have).

You will have a lot of fun with this controller, I have it with my SX2 and the RX seems to be very similar :D

yeah i almost bought the sx a while back, the lack of flac support stopped me
Pioneer DJ just got a new customer :)
Adding flac support will allow many traktor users to jump ship now, well done Pioneer DJ!
