So as a test last night being I had time to kill I hooked up my 2000's with USB cables to control Rekordbox DJ and use them as the sound card, i could not believe the volume difference between them as the sound card and the DJM900 as the sound card. It was significantly reduced.
When using the 2000's with just USB sticks I keep my gain around 1 o'clock and the levels stay in the yellow barely touching the red, to achieve this with them and Rekordbox DJ connected i have to keep my gains maxed to even get a decent volume out of them, barely touches 1 yellow light on the DB reading

yes, when I tried rb dj I too realized that the output on the CDJ 2000 nexus is way lower than what I get from the usb stick.
Also in general rb when played on the computer (in normal analysis mode) sounds quite a bit lower than other software. Now I'm using Beatport Pro and Kid3 and both have a higher volume than rb.
I wouldn't say this is a bug, but it's a mildly annoying setting of the software.
