How to use the Record-Function with Rekordbox DJ

With the performance Mode exists the possibility to record.
Does this function works only with controllers?
When I use 2 CDJ 2000NXS in aggregate mode, I have no
choice in the Combobox to select the source to record.

The reason there is no option to select a recording source is you are using an external mixer and audio interfaces without inputs. If you were to add a device which has an input to your aggregate, you could then select it as the recording source.

Thank you, now I've tried with the 900SRT and I've seen the 4 channels.
In the Mixer Config Tool I've seen the input and output configuration with
the Mix Rec Out.

Hi guys,

Im reading snippits here and there and cant seem to find a full guide on this.

I have CDJ2000 Nexus and a DJM900SRT i just got the trial of performance mode as i hear it has a record function.

How do i actually do this? Does someone have a step by step guide?

Thanks

@Bradley > Your question is not related to the original question - next time please start a new topic.

If you want to record from the mixer, go to the DJM-900SRT setting utility and set one of the outputs to be REC-OUT (you can use CH1 out if you want), then within rekordbox, make sure you have the CH1 output set as the recording source.

Sorry i have started a new topic after posting this. A silly question but how should i be connecting the mixer to the macbook pro then? USB from top of the mixer to the macbook? Do i need to do any of this aggregator stuff ive been reading?

Many thanks

You need the drivers and then connect the mixer via USB. No aggregators needed - that's only for combining devices together to form one soundcard.
