checking if rekordbox works without owning any pioneer cdjs.

Hey there,

Long story short, im forced to use rekordbox instead of traktor in a gig and i do not own any pioneer cdjs (just a mixer).

So i wanted to sort some basic hot cues in rekordbox and drop them into a usb stick.

The question is, is it somehow possible to see if your library has been properly 'saved' without actually owning any pioneer cdjs to test is?

Perhaps threw some other pc with rekordbox on it?

Wouldnt want to have any surprises on a gig..

Thanks!

that would be the best way, set all the cues and export them to a flash drive, then go to another pc with RB installed (music on the other pc is irrelevant) and plug in usb drive and go to devices in rb, you can load the tracks to the deck and make sure the cues are there

keep in mind if the decks are not Nexus 2000's then you have to call up all the cues when you load the track , they wont auto load

I think its 2000 nexus there - if so, it auto loads between tracks?

if not, how do i load them.

yes, make sure in Rekordbox you have the "HOT CUE" column enable (pic below) and all the tracks are "Checked" to have the hot cue ON, Then when you load a track in the NEXUS they will auto load into the ABC cues where you want them.

hot cue column - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1184069/Screen%20Shot%202015-08-03%20at%207.13.07%20PM.png

if they are not coming up or older 2000's then you would load the track, hold down the CALL button for a second until the hot cues blink and then press them to load them and then they are usable.
