Play History from my gigs is Incomplete in Rekordbox

Running Rekordbox 4.0.4 rev.5642-6104-6099.

Had a gig last night. Two CDJ 2000 and a DJM900. No link cable. One flash drive per CDJ. When I plug in my flash drives and load rekordbox I don't see all of the tracks I played.

This has actually been going on for a while at different gigs with the same equipment setup. Only 1 or 2 tracks used to be missing so I didn't think it was a big deal and I was able to fill in the gaps from memory. Now more than half the tracks I played are missing. It even happens when I use one flash drive with Link.

All my tracks are analyzed in Rekordbox, the playlists are created there and exported from there to the flash drive.

I recently did a clean install of Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11.1) so my previous collection is gone. I'm about a quarter of the way through loading all the tracks back. There are tracks I've already loaded back in that I know I played last night but they don't show up in the history.

Any ideas?

keep in mind (not sure if this is your case) but if you mix out of a track quick it will not be saved, I believe the time is 1 minute where the track is marked as played and added to history, if the track is not played longer then 1 minute then it will not be added to history

That's good to know. I'm assuming that's so tracks you preview don't get saved to history.

It's possible that's why a few of them don't show up but this happens even with long house tracks. They don't show up in the history.

It seems the issue was the fact that My Collection is stored on lots of different drives. If all those drives aren't plugged into my computer those songs don't show up in history. Even if those songs are in listed in my collection but just missing.

As an experiment I made sure all the songs for last night's gig came from one source and all the songs I played showed up in history.

Any chance you guys can address this? It's a pain to have to find all the different drives my songs are in for an accurate history. I've started recording all my sets to avoid this problem but on some occasions that's just not an option.

@Bluegrass >It doesn't matter what the original source was, provided the song exists on the export device and you're able to play it, the history entry for that track being played should exist.

Any chance you might be able to recall which specific tracks were played but not recorded? If so, please try playing just that one track from start to finish and see if the history records it - you can verify it on the CDJ before you remove the drive, then double check when you connect it back to rekordbox.
