Hi guys, I've got a 2011 MBP and DDJ-SZ.
Since I've had El Capitan the SZ doesn't work as an external audio device.
It shows up in midi, but not audio.
I've gone through weeks of support with Serato, but hey suggest there is a compatibility issue with El Capitan?
I see you are working in 64bit drivers, are you working on El Capitan supported drivers also?

Pulse, dude why do you have so much attitude man, show some maturity, you represent a billion dollar corporation... Sad to see Pioneer being represented this way.
1) is pulse a real pioneer employee? cuz if so, you're totally screwing up buddy. I'm a marketing major and even I know to treat customers better than that. and please, just be the bigger man and don't even respond to me
2) this is total bullshit, and i can't believe serrate and pioneer haven't made this more abundantly clear. I follow both of them on twitter and I have seen nothing online about any of this. I'm pretty pissed right now
So Serato like Native and other companys all them gave Statements... that's normal also when windows 10 came out and every time when a new OS like Mavericks and Yosemite cames out they all said..... please wait. But the diffrence is. All my other hard and software is working without any big issues.... only cubase 8 need sometimes on or two programm starts... but then it works for hours without poblems. My big problem is that my new macbook pro also my new mac 5k comes both with el capitan. my old macbook pro (2009) don't has enough power so i must change to new hardware and new OS X. i'm only so angry that it tooks so long time to make one small driver for us.
Any updates on this?
@Olly > Yes, here.
@Pulse - that was a reasonable question. :(
@Pulse > Thank you for your reply but is there any more less generic information? Its almost been a month now :(
@Antony > I never said it wasn't, nor was my answer unreasonable.
@Olly > Sorry, I don't have any other details or I would have provided them.
@Pulse > Is it not possible to contact the development teams to get a status update. Its the little things. Thank you.
I'm in contact with them daily -- and no, they don't have any updates or estimates on delivery, hence my link to the "When?" post.
@Pulse > Surely there is something they have to say?
There isn't, and stop calling me Shirley.
Okay - more specific question. Can you clarify this is something that Pioneer can fix, and that we're not waiting for another OS X revision past 10.11.1?
Also, what is the actual issue with El Capitan? I cannot find an explanation of what the actual problem is.
Yes, Pioneer can fix it, no, they're not waiting for 10.11.1.
@Pulse Thank you.
You can thank Apple for making additional changes to the DirectAudio subsystems.
@Pulse > I see, thank you. I think an explanation always helps. Im guessing its a case of re writing drivers?
The update for El Capitan is since 21.10. published. What does not come is the long overdue Software Pioneer. What you are for a company? What is this support? That's not the Pioneer which hardware to buy for 25 years. If there was an alternative, I would choose now. I am forced to run on a Windows 3500 machine Euro, just because you can not manage to fulfill your duty. I am very disappointed!
All negativity aside, I am subscribing so that I will know when the update is available. @Pulse: You will let us know here where to find it when the day comes, correct?
I'll post to a few of the threads where it's being discussed.
For all the love to the products of Pioneer, a speedy overview of the current processing status would be very useful. I am, like probably many also faced with the question whether I have to reinstall my MacBook to be able to work properly with the old Yosemite system just to get back. The MacBook is like the Pioneer Console, a tool needs to work. If I can not work, costs money. Money that I must insist in doubt, Pioneer, by all means.
Pulse, are you able to please inform your product managers etc., that this is starting to get really painful? It's been over a month since the actual release El Capitan, that really feels like plenty of time to fix a driver, especially given that NI, et al have managed to get it done... I've been a loyal Pioneer customer for a long long time. Throw us a bone, here. Not to mention to the completely wasted RekordBox DJ trial....
I think that this is a bigger issue than the community thinks. Serato and Rane are having the same issues. I think the wise thing is to continue to use Yosimite or earlier OSX that we know that works and do not move to El Capitian. It may never get fixed and the next OSX may not be locked down as much. If so we need to complain to Apple because it affects industry. The purpose of an operating system is to enhance workflow
It may be that there is a bigger problem than previously thought. Nevertheless, the fact that manufacturers like Pioneer is supplied by Apple or Microsoft in time with all the specifications of the new system. If these producers naturally spends his time better with other gadgets, because now have problems, have already spent money - are not so important. No, the criticism goes exclusively to Pioneer. The Apple works!
Pioneer is the only Software that is not working..... NI Maschine, also Komplet Audio and Cubase are working. Also Serato is working on my Mac. Cubase the Same. Only the Driver for DDJ-SZ. So i don't think it is such a big issue to make it work. a friend loan me his old traktor S4 Gear... and it also works..... so the only thing which is brook is my Driver for DDJ-SZ......
In addition, the biggest mistake is not only the lack of update, but the lack of information on a timeframe for the solution. For my part, just install OS X Yosemite novel since I installed without backup El Capitan. My mistake, yes, but who also expects something from premium manufacturer Pioneer.
And for all that say.... go back to the old OS..... Why... i bought two new Gears. iMac 5K and MacBookPro Retina... and both came with El Capitan. So why i should go back to an old version. Do your Job and we are all happy. 1 Month is more then enough.
