@martin > Have you tried using it with a USB2.0 port on your computer?
What is the computer system specs and operating system?
please there is a problem with the ddj sz about audio latency, well i have used a lot fo controllers and all of them including other brands like numark ns6 the audio letency works fine at 1ms,5ms but not the sz.
I i have been testing mine for about three days now and there is a lot of audio dropouts and yes i have tried diffrent options reinstalled drivers and everything you can think of and i am confident to say it might be a bug with it also i realised that its not compatible with usb 3.
Please do something about it for an expensive controller like this there should be less room for erros thanks.

thanks for replying.
its HP PAVILION DV6, INTEL(R) CORE 17-2670QM, CPU 2.20GHZ, RAM 16.0 GB.
64-BIT OPERATING SYSTEM/ WINDOWS 7.
anyway before you say anything about the laptop, i had to use USB 2 anyway because the contoller does not work with my usb 3 and i have tried a friends macbook pro as well. but on the usp 2 it works on 5ms but the deck A pauses for like 2-3 seconds then works again. i have been using this laptop for djing for years and on 1ms everything works fine thanks.
Does the audio have dropouts at the 1ms but not at 5ms?
yes thats right
and at 5ms or higher deck A freezes for 2-3 seconds.
What do you mean by "it pauses for 2-3 seconds" -- is that only when you switch the buffer size?
Yes deck A freezes for about 2 seconds sometimes thats when its set to 5ms or higher but the music doesn't stop
When does the freeze occur? And is it only visually within the software that this happens?
In the waveform of the software and the display on the center of the jog wheels
But WHEN does it occur, and how often?
About 5 minutes of play time then after its like random but
But if its set to 1ms it works fine apart from the audio dropouts
Could you do me a favour and shoot a short video showing the issue so I can pass it along to the engineers?
ok no worries i will do that when i get home thanks for your help
anyway how do i upload the video
Stick it on YouTube with it set for Unlisted (and post the URL here).
ok cool
hi sorry for the delay I travelled,
anyway I have the link as you requested but was not able to reproduce the freezing part of the jog wheel, well you it kind of disappeared when I need it lol so I hope you can help me with this thanks

@martin > Obviously that video isn't showing any freezing, what you're hearing in the audio is the combination of the software, computer, driver and hardware not being able to support the lowest latency setting for the buffer. At 5ms it works fine - the idea with the buffer is you want to use the lowest possible setting without having any audio dropouts. If you do, you bump it up a notch.
One thing you may consider trying is updating the firmware on your computer. In past, I've seen simple BIOS updates resolving issues like this. Check with the manufacturer and see if they have one available for your model.
well for some reason i knew you will say its got something to do with my laptop.
i have used this laptop with other controllers with no problems no audio drop outs, trust me there is nothing wrong with my computer i have a numark v7 as well and it works fine at 1ms so how is that a BIOS fault. Don't you think it might be the audio drivers from the controller not compartible at lower letency as u said. anyway i will take your advice and update my BIOS i will give you the outcome, thanks for your help.
I didn't say anything about it being only the laptop - I said all of those things in combination! ;) Give it a shot as I know it has helped other users with similar issues.
yes i am on it now
hi there i have been on this and done a lot including rebooting my laptop bios update and re installing everything again but still the same so i think its better to leave it as it is. thanks for your help you can close this report.
