Cdj 400 recording

Right now im running 2 cdj 400s with a djm 600 into traktor via usb cables, but id like to start recording and get another cdj, which soundcard would work to record and use 3 or 4 cdjs with?

OLAH Nick. Please, I need understand how do you work/connect your DJSet to give you the best option:

I supose you connect the CDJ-400 to laptop via USB & the CDJ-400 Audio to DJM-600 via RCA, is'n it?

yes that is what i do. now i just need a 4 channel sound card so i can record and add another cdj, do you know what the cheapest one would be?

If your computer has a soundcard, why not run a line from the master output of the DJM into the soundcard's input and record there?

I dont have a soundcard, i have a macbook pro, not sure where i would plug it in to or if it would record with traktor if i did that

@Nick > If you have one of the newer MBPs you don't have the second mic-input jack, so yes, you would need an external audio interface.

There are plenty of options for inexpensive audio interfaces, try your local computer or music retailers or check online.

i have been looking and i dont want to spend 600$ just to record, do you know what would do the job for around 200$?

OLAH Nick. The cheaper option is to record your Sessions in a external recorder like Tascam / Zoom / Marantz directly from the DJM-600 Output but in this configuration set you can connect up to 4 CDJs to play from (no software). ;-)

I remember, also, with just a CDJ-400 you can control all the Traktor desks but i'm not sure now.
