64bit drivers aren't required for Macs, what is the problem you're having?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I can't select and use the soundcard of my DDJ-T1 anymore since Traktor Pro and MacOSX are 64bit.

That certainly is a supported OS, have you verified that the DDJ-T1 is appearing within the Audio MIDI Setup application? You can find it under Applications > Utilities.

Thanks, but if I select the Pioneer soundcard in Ableton Live 9 32bit there is no problem.

A happy new year and the best wishes for 2016!!

The problem is NOT solved yet!

I have tested with two soundcards on 2 different MAC computers.

On a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion and on a iMac with OSX El Captain.

The Pioneer DDJ-T1  soundcard doesn't work on a 64bit MAC with Traktor Pro 64bit.

I can select the soundcard, but it doesn't work and it's not possible to change the volume control or format (bitrate). See screenshots below.

I've asked our product team to provide further information, your patience is appreciated as they are still on holidays.

Okay, thank you very much! Until when are they on holiday and do I have to wait?

The majority are returning this week, but the inquiry load is pretty high from the holidays. I'm sure we'll get an answer within the week but in terms of solution, it may be longer.

Hi, How are you? I'm waiting for more than 3 weeks now.

Are your colleagues still on holiday? ;-)

No, but as the DDJ-T1 is a legacy product, unfortunately it is not a high-priority. We are still waiting on information regarding 64bit drivers for ALL products, not just the DDJ-T1. When we have more information, it will be posted in a news announcement. Thanks for your continued patience.

Do you ask me to be patient for weeks or for months?

I recently spoke with some Pioneer and Native Instruments technicians at a demo where they showed their new controllers. Both technicians told me that it should be very easy for Pioneer to develop 64bits drivers and it doesn't take so much time.

Some people I know are interested in buying a new DJ controller.

They have to make a choice between the Pioneer DDJ-RZ and the NI Kontrol S8.

They are afraid to buy a Pioneer controller because of the poor support.

Another reason is that they are used to Traktor Pro and they would like to use the Pioneer DDJ-RZ with Traktor Pro instead of Rekordbox DJ, because their whole trackcollection is prepared for Traktor Pro.

@Maurits > Were either of the people you spoke with employed as software engineers at Pioneer? Because they've told me it's not easy, cheap or quick to do it right and make sure it works properly.

Yes, I spoke him om a Pioneer DDJ-RZ demo.

Do you ask me to be patient for weeks or for months?

When this takes too long, I think a lot of people will choose for Native Instruments because of their support. ;-)

Just because it was a demo doesn't mean that person is a software engineer. In fact, of the 10 Pioneer demonstrators recently showing equipment to users, buyers and industry people at the NAMM Show in Anahiem, none of us are employees of Pioneer.

I don't have a timeline for you, so I'm not sure how long the wait will be.

Can you please give us an update?

I'm waiting for months now for a 64 bit driver. A very poor service from Pioneer!

When can we finally expect the 64 bit driver?
