DDJ-SX cross fader issues with Traktor Pro 2

Hi Guys,

I have recently installed the version of traktor 2.7.1 - which is not the 64 bit version.

Everything seems to be working fine - however the cross fader is not correctly working.

I DJ with the up faders so can still use the console, but would like to know to have this fixed. When I move the cross fader it jumps across only for only moving it a small amount goes right across. When loaded it loads with it already set all the way to the right.

I have tried several things but it is still not working - I have assigned the decks to a & B etc, and all of the sound input and outputs are correct.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Did you download the MIDI mapping files for Traktor?

thanks for the reply yes this has already been updated through the instructions that were provided.

Personally, I am not as proficient in Traktor as some of our other mods. I'm sure one of them will have some suggestions.

@Paul > Unfortunately it sounds like you may need to dig into the MIDI mappings within Traktor to customize this yourself. It could be you previously had a mapping which is interfering with the new one.

I set mine up to try and find it for you... here's what I see:

The crossfader is referred to as "Position." I would suggest you click on that entry, then scroll up and down through the other assignments to see if any others are highlighted yellow. If so, consider removing that entry, or at least deleting the MIDI control assignment to it by pressing the RESET button.

hi, I have checked this setting and this all seems correct as the above.

It is affecting the sound on the decks as the cross fader is not in the middle and when moved it goes all the way over to the other side.

any other suggestions?

it works fine in serato so it's not the cross fader
