Migrating tracks/library

Hi,

I'd appreciate any help you can give on this.

I'm keen to migrate my music to a new hard drive as well as use Rekordbox from an entirely new Mac laptop. The process seems fairly straightforward but last time I managed to lose ALL my tagging info which took months.

My own fault entirely but I need to know if there's a foolproof method so this won't happen again.

yes save the libray with the music files on an external drive. make an restore libray with the music files on the newer computer

Thanks for response!

I understand how to run a backup of music files - I just don't know how to make sure that Rekordbox runs an identical database complete with my defined tags. Is there a seperate database export or something?

Last time I tried this I lost all my tags so am understandably nervous.
