Select two, delete two.
I am also baffled by this. The 'Collection' generates multiple instances of the same track whenever I install an update. Each instance originates with only one file, so it is not a case of multiple files stored on the computer.
rekordbox itself doesn't self-duplicate. The only way this might happen is if you were to move files to a different location and re-import them.
Interesting. Thanks for the information. I adore this product and I'm about to buy the license for the Rekordbox DJ as soon as my trial runs out. I love the mobile app too. I'm a glutton for all things Rekordbox.
There were two instances in the Collection for almost every music file in my iTunes media folder, each with a different "Date added". The first "Date Added" corresponded to the date the track was added to iTunes. The second instance had a "Date Added" that corresponded to the date I imported it into Rekordbox. When I changed a cue point in one, the change was reflected in both instances.
Last week I got so irritated by the presence of all those duplicates that were clogging up my Related Tracks searches, I went through the entire collection and deleted every duplicate instance (hundreds upon hundreds). Today I updated to 4.1.0 and there all the duplicates were! Back just like before.
Likely as a result of your iTunes fun; especially if you have it set to manage the file locations for you. Do you know if you have that setting checked in the iTunes preferences?
How is it possible to save 2 or more identical tracks in rekordbox with diffrent cue points? If I try to copy a track it overwrites the original track.
@Steven > Yes, but you'd have to make a physical duplicate of the file on your source drive, then import that duplicate file into rekordbox as a separate track, then you could have two identical tracks in the collection with different cue points.
