Connecting PC wirelessly to XDJ Aero

Hi guys. I just purchased a Pioneer XDJ Aero but i'm having trouble connecting wirelessly to the Aero from my PC with Rekordbox 4.0.5. I have a wireless dongle in the pc and I can connect to the Aero SSID with the pc and put the password in, it then says connected but the unit does not appear in Rekordbox and none of the 4 wifi lights on the unit light either. What am I doing wrong!
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

To troubleshoot, I would first disable the wireless security on the AERO and see if you're able to connect that way first.

@Nando > Please try the following:

  • Open the UTILITY menu by pressing and holding the INFO / UTILITY button
  • Select WLAN SETTING
  • Select MODE
  • Select OFF
  • Select YES (to apply changes)
  • Power off the AERO, unplug the power supply for 30 seconds, then reconnect it and power the AERO back on
  • Open the UTILITY menu by pressing and holding the INFO / UTILITY button
  • Select WLAN SETTING
  • Select MODE
  • Select ACCESS POINT(AP)
  • Select YES (to apply changes)
  • Press BACK
  • Select NETWORK SETTING
  • Step 1 - Enter an SSID name or accept the default value (press the rotary knob)
  • Step 2 - Select OPEN
  • Select YES (to the security warning, if prompted)
  • Select OTHERS
  • Select DHCP SERVER
  • Select ENABLE
  • Select YES (to apply changes, or press BACK if it's already on ENABLE)
  • Press BACK
  • Press BACK again
  • Select WLAN INFORMATION
  • Select IP ADDRESS and leave it visible

On your Mac, open the System Preferences and go to the Network item. Select Wi-Fi and then click the Network Name drop-down list. Find the name of your AERO and select it. Verify that your Status shows as Connected and you have an IP address; it should be one digit higher than the number showing on the screen of your AERO.

Your AERO is now connected. Next, open rekordbox. If you have rekordbox DJ, be sure to switch from PERFORMANCE mode to EXPORT mode.

Press the blue rekordbox button(s) on your AERO, and you should see the LINK button appear at the bottom left of the screen in rekordbox. You need to CLICK that Link button; an icon showing your AERO will appear in the middle of the bottom section (to the right of the LINK button, which will now change to show a Wi-Fi symbol. The screen of your AERO should show rekordbox Control and the name of your rekordbox library. Press the rotary knob to select the library, the display will say Control with Rotary and now you're able to navigate rekordbox and load tracks wirelessly!

Let me know if any of those steps didn't work for you, or if you need further assistance.
