4.0 - all versions, Playlist bug when adding to folder views

easily reproducible and still a bug in 4.x.x

in folders/playlist if i drag a music folder from finder in and it creates a playlist your good, then collapse that folder, open a different one to add another, add it to create the playlist and it brings you back to the previous collapsed folder and opens it and highlights it instead of staying on the new one you created like it should..

I reported this months and month ago and it still is not fixed nor can i even find the post anymore :)

Before you added the first playlist, you had your entire collection selected.

After you created the first playlist, you selected it. Then you collapsed the folder containing the playlist but the playlist remained selected.

After creating the second playlist, you did not select it as you did the first playlist which is why the first playlist remained selected.

It's not technically a bug. You just want new playlists to be automatically selected/highlighted. I agree with that logic. This is a feature request and I will forward it along to our engineering team. Thanks for pointing it out!

From what I'm seeing, Rekordbox didn't "reopen" the February playlist, it was never deselected by clicking on another playlist. It remained in focus throughout the entire process.

I collapsed it and then added a new playlist in a completely different area. When it imports the new track rekordbox automatically un collapsed and reset focus back to the old imported list. Watch it close. It's a bug. It never used to do this in earlier versions like in early versions like 3. I can record a new one talking through it if it's unclear. It's annoying and happens constantly. Why would I want rekordbox to jump back to a collapsed playlist after I import a new one? If that's intentional then it's ridiculous

I would think after adding a new playlist it wouldn't jump back to one collapsed and out of view.

Especially if I want to add multiple playlists to the other folder, it will keep jumping back to the old collapsed playlist. Makes no sense

It never "jumped back." The first playlist never left focus once you selected it. Either way, I understand what you're getting at and as I said, I will forward it along to our engineering team. Thanks!
