XDJ - RX / Keep playlist order from iTunes?

Hi,

I'm new to Rekordbox and the XDJ - RX ("old school" vinyl/ / CDJ DJ here!) and I'm trying to understand how to export a custom playlist order.

I create my playlists in iTunes and analyze / export through Rekordbox but when I open the playlist up on the XDJ - RX controller, I only have the option to sort by alphabetical, title, artist, bpm, etc...

What about the order in which the tracks were listed in iTunes and then exported to Rekordbox? Is this not at all possible? What am I missing?

Any help will be appreciated. :)

Unfortunately iTunes made changes to their XML and it doesn't properly send the track order over to rekordbox, you may need to manually re-order it on sync / import.

Hi there :)

i'm also an oldschool dj who had buy a XDJ RX there is few days ago, it's really a good piece of gear isn't it ?

For the itunes order you have to put on "default" and it will replace the tracks in the same order than they were in iTunes / Rekordbox.
Hope you will understand, i'm not english (french user) and i'm not sure that myenglish is really good :)

Cheers

I was going to post something similar but when using the default option for sorting it does sort in the order that you manully chose from iTunes. But it goes from bottom to top instead of from top to bottom. A bit strange but it works.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for your answers!

Strangely this still isn't working for me,when I selected "default" I was only able to get an alphabetical playlist - no manual order playlist.

Maybe I'm using a different version of Rekordbox ? I'm using 4.1.1.

@Heidi > You can manually order the tracks, simply click the 2nd column; the one with the at the top. If you want to retain a numerical sort order by having sorted in another manner, you can right-click on any column header then click  "Renumber Track Order."

When sorted by # you can drag-and-drop to any order you want.
