4 channels are always better, depends on the condition that it's in, being second. The DDJ controllers are all very well made in my experience. As you said if be very interested to see what the new Rekordbox based controllers bring to the table.

FollowBuying first controller?
Im thinking of buying my first controller. Ive learned how to mix on my friends Numark mixtrack pro II on Serato, and also very extensively on the DJ Player app, so Im not an amateur. I was thinking earlier of getting a DDJ SR, but found out i could get a used DDJ SX on ebay for about the same price. What are your thoughts? id like the SX as an upgrade bc of the external mixer so my friend's mixtrack can plug in and we can do B2B. Another idea is to wait for the new Rekordbox to release to see if Pioneer releases a better line of controllers to match, but that may be a while, new controllers are more expensive and so I wont be able to afford as good, and also, have they announced if they will support old controllers on the new software...?
