Problem after installing Rekordbox 3

When I install Rekordbox 3 I get a window with strange mashed up words. Could it be the font Rekordbox uses isn't installed on my computer?
Can't read the text but I see a checkbox. When I mark it and hit what seems to be an OK butto Rekordbox opens but alle text is scrambled too.
Tried intslling several times but nothing works...
anyone?

regards

Marcel

It works!
Found out that not FontBook but Linotype FontExplorer was handling my fonts and that must have messed things up. Uninstalled Fontexplorer and restored standard fonts in Fontbook. That did the trick.
Thanks so much for your effort.

Could you please send a screenshot of the problem?

What is the language of the operating system on which you're installing it (and what is the OS / version itself?)

Whoah, that is a problem. Let me send that over to the engineers for review and recommendations.

@Marcel > Two things for you to try please:

  1. In 'Language & Region' options on Mac OS, prioritize English then restart. Open rekordbox to check if the issue persists.

  2. Launch 'Font book' from the Launcher. Click Command-A to select all fonts, then select 'Resolve Duplicates'.

Tried both but doesn't work. Setting the Language and Region setting to English sets my entire system to English but RekordBox still remains Dutch (at least the parts I can read). Resolved duplicate fonts too.

@Marcel > Three other things to try please:

  1. On the Finder select rekordbox application then display context menu. Select 'Show Package Contents'. Follow 'Contents' > 'Resources' > ' locale'. You will find files that describe all text for each language. Please send me 'dutch.lang' and 'english.lang'.

  2. Please let me know how track information such as title or artist name is displayed if tracks are imported to the collection?

  3. How text is displayed if you choose English as the language in the Preferences of rekordbox?

@Marcel > More info...

Please launch Font Book and take a screen shot of the Font Book (post it here).

Select 'Validate Font' from the File menu to check fonts on the system are not broken.

Select 'Restore Standard Fonts' from the File menu. Please note that this will remove non standard fonts from the system (actually they are put aside in the Fonts(removed) folder. So they will not be deleted).

@Marcel > Awesome! Thanks for your patience in resolving this issue and thank you for troubleshooting and reporting back that it was the FontExplorer which had caused the issue.
