@Darrell > Did you possibly set up any sync in the sync manager?
Is there anyone to completely turn off functionality of iTunes in Rekordbox i.e. if you have it installed but want to keep separate from Rekordbox. I know you can untick from preferences which stops it displaying in the Explorer View but it still insists on reading through iTunes playlists every time you sync a USB device?
Thanks.
Darrell.

Hi Pulse,
No, the only sync set up is for playlists, there is no tick in the itunes box. I would have assumed you could set in preferences not to use iTunes but only seems you can turn off explorer window?

The truly easiest way to remove it from rekordbox is to scratch it out of the rekordbox settings. I'm going to give you the Mac instructions, but if you need PC info, please let me know.
Make sure rekordbox is closed.
Open the Finder, go to the menu and select Go > Go to Folder...
Paste this: ~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox
You'll see rekordbox.settings - right click and Open With... TextEdit.
Find the line with: <VALUE name="itunesLibraryFile" val="XXXXXXXXX">
Clear the val contents so it ends up: <VALUE name="itunesLibraryFile" val="">
Save the file, open rekordbox. If you still see iTunes on the left, go into the preferences and uncheck it from the Tree View on the View item.
