asus notebook compatibility with rekordbox 3.3

I have an Asus x553ma. I cant get rekordbox to link it to the xdjrx. Rekordbox is coming up as an incompatible program. Ive installed drivers software and firmare. Also removed firewalls etc. Been on the phone to asus and as expected where useless. I can put music on rekordbox on the laptop and it seems to work fine but when i connect the lan cable up and press link it does not work. I can link up my phone to xdj rx via wireless link to my router with the lan cable running into xdjrx. I can also link phone into rekordbox. If i put usb in it says unsupported device and when i connect my notebook up it just does no link. I have tryed everything. Please help.

Okay, so it's not coming up as an "incompatible" program by the operating system... more that you're having problems with the networking and USB devices.

When connecting the RX directly via ethernet, does the link button appear at the bottom of rekordbox?

When connecting a USB device, is it properly formatted (FAT32)?

Hi m8. I haven't connected a USB yet. I have only tyred connecting my phone via USB cable. Comes up error. Even though my friends IPhone connects no problem. Mine is Samsung alpha. I am currently trying to get laptop running properly with the xdjrx before I move onto USB. I would like to know a way of formatting my phone to to fat32 compatibility. Only way I can connect my phone is linking the lan cable to xdjrx from the router then connecting my phone wireless to router. The link button appears everyone when I connect via lab to xdj but when I press it it does nothing the rekordbox button flashes on xdjrx then nothing comes up. I've true a lot of stuff. I even had it running on Saturday fur a while via laptop rekordbox but can't link it at all now. I've bought all this stuff but can't get it all running smooth. Help would be appreciated

You have two problems - one is the notebook, the other is the phone, please don't mash the two sets of info together.

Your phone will not connect via USB to rekordbox unless you have it in a "drive" mode, which I don't recommend - you may as well use a USB stick at that point. You should run the rekordbox mobile application (available for Android in the Google Play store), then connect it wirelessly to rekordbox and sync your music to the device that way.

The same app is then also used to communicate with the RX wirelessly.

Regarding the "security" - what application is telling you it's incompatible?
