probably works the same way as the NXS1 where you can load your settings each time you plug in a flash drive or LINK to laptop

I always use link (from Mac) but the Tempo setting is never saved.

you can set those settings in the "settings" area of Rekordbox and then when you link the players you hit MENU/LOAD and all your settings you save load to the decks. 

I do this all the time, I plug in a flash drive in my case, hit USB then MENU/LOAD and all my personal CDJ settings like 6%, deck lock, vinyl mode, flashing off, etc.... change to my settings

i agree but there are a lot of changes i prefer so for me its easier hitting load, but if i only had to change tempo then you're right

Rekordbox should just apply these settings to your CDJ once you hit LINK, makes no sense

Please keep in mind that worldwide, there are more CDJ-2000nexus, and soon NXS2, being used at clubs, festivals, bars, and lounges than being used by single DJs.  This is why the hardware typically resets to default settings and the preference settings travel with the DJ and his music collection.  In our extensive research while planning these products we found most DJs prefer this method.

right, which is why when i plug in my laptop the decks should automatically set to my preferences, the technology is already there, its just not being used this way
