Do I need rekorbox??

Do I need Rekorbox for my cdj 2000's as I'm currently trying to use my sub instead of CDs any one help ?

Just want to know if I can just plug in and link and play instead of using Rekorbox?

In short, no, you do not NEED to use rekordbox but you will not have access to many of the CDJ's features when playing files that were not analyzed in rekordbox.  rekordbox is a free music management software which allows you to beat grid your tracks, place hot cues, memory cues, loops and hot loops in your tracks as well as create playlists, folders, edit tag information and much more.  You can learn more at http://www.rekordbox.com

you don't need rekordbox but its a good tool to organize and have analyze all your tracks for wave date, bpm, key etc..... and then export that info to a USB and plug it into the cdjs

Using rekordbox to prep your tracks will open a world of possibilities, really enhance your sets and let you be way more creative. It revolutionized my way of DJ-ing, and hopefully yours!
