FollowMedia file collapsed during use CDJ Nexus 2000
Ok so when i play live intermittently i will get this error when trying to load a track and create a loop or set the cue.. I was using Link with one HDD but quickly realized i need 2 HDD with the same content one in each CDJ. The reason because when one is playing and i am selecting another track on the other this will happen... media file has collapsed. It happens after track load too when setting a loop.
The fix for me is i have to reboot the device... only way around it.. and this is why i have 2 HDD because that allows the other to keep playing. But this is a real pain.. as the link disables ( naturally and the tempo resets )
This is random tracks... random times... sometimes rarely i can get through a gig and it does not happen so my question is why does it happen?
I use HDD that are quite large.. 1TB and they are partitioned and the OS is Mac OS X yosemite.
Is there a way to stop this?

Have you updated the firmware on the CDJs and what version of Rekordbox are you using?
Latest rekordbox ( not sure what that is but its definitely upto date ) and I did update the firmware about a year ago so may i could do with doing that..
What will be interesting is my NXS2 's arrive tomorrow and i wonder if it happens with them.. will def keep you posted. I will check firmware too on my Nexus 2000
just adding after getting my NXS2 2000's this does not happen - i can use one USB drive linked and i never have media file collapsed.
I updated to 1.41 firmware last week and this happened to me on my cdj2000nexus that was reading a song from another cdj2000nexus usb. I load a track then set a loop and the error happens and i must reboot the one cdj 2000nexus for it to work again.
was there a solution? i too am getting this on previous rekordbox version AND since latest Rekordbox update on 2000 NXS2's with latest firmware. I'm on mac High Sierra. Mine has happened twice both times near the end of my 5 hour sets. I'm using in export mode and dragging tracks into the decks. I had to switch to usb sticks and rebooted each CDJ and rekordbox then it was ok again.
Chances are a bug prior to 5.4.2 caused this during prolonged use of the Pro DJ Link; please update to 5.4.2 and see if it still happens.
Thanks. Have updated. Would have been nice to have had some warning or announcement off Pioneer whilst working on this update have been in the dark for three weeks wondering what’s wrong. Fingers crossed this fixes. Thanks for the reply will see how it goes.
