Cannot get cross faders to work (ddj rx)

I'm a complete beginner, finally got my decks (DDJ RX) producing sound but the channel and cross faders don't do anything to the volume on either deck ( both play at one volume) all the other functions work ,just wondering if someone can tell me what I've done wrong?

With music playing on deck 1 and 2, and signal showing on each of the channel meters, take the channel faders up to the top. Adjust the master output so you hear it on the speakers. Next, assign channel 1 to crossfader A, and channel 2 to crossfader B. Now move the crossfader back and forth, does the audio change on the master output as you move the crossfader?

I have tried this , master output has no effect, still having the same problem, could it be how I have the settings on recordbox?

It seems like the only thing working on the mixer is the effects

@Adam > Can you please post a screenshot of the Audio page of the preferences within rekordbox?

Are you on a Mac or PC, and if PC, did you properly install the drivers prior to connecting the DDJ-RX?

I've worked it out , i set the audio to " DDJ RX ASIO" and all works fine . Thanks
